Quality workflow
The quality workflow connects the controlling specification to inspection inputs, records, nonconformance decisions, and shipment release.
Four control points
Each control point should produce a record that can be reviewed without relying on memory or informal messages.
01
Identify the approved drawing, standard edition, revision, material, dimensions, finish, and marking.
02
Map critical characteristics to a measurable method, sample rule, acceptance limit, and record format.
03
Review supplier records, measurements, test reports, images, and any third-party inspection output.
04
Record pass, fail, deviation, corrective action, reinspection, and the final shipment release decision.
Required records
The buyer remains responsible for the technical, commercial, and destination requirements it controls. The operating workflow records what was agreed and what was checked.
